Chapter 15
Slumber Party


Sakura had just gotten off the phone with her friend Karin Rhodon. She was the last friend whom she called and to talk to and confirm about the slumber party. Making sure she was able to come over this Friday night. It was Thursday evening and dinner was going to be ready pretty soon. But Sakura was excited to now know all of her three closest girl friends could come over. Karin had asked her parents ahead of time and since both of Sakura's parents would be home that evening it was alright with them and she had all her school work done for the week too it was a green light indeed. Sakura was already pretty sure that Rebekah and Rin would be able to make it over any how. Along with Rebekah's younger brother Jordan who was friends with Lee and Karin at the Jr high school. He would be hanging out with Lee for the most part. While the girls did there own thing.

When Sakura came down for dinner she told her mom and dad the good news that everyone was able to come. And in fact this was Karin's first slumber party.

"Her first slumber party with you and the others. Oh this will be fun indeed. Ill make sure to order enough pizza since we will have a full house tomorrow night." Maratha said.

"Thanks mom that would be great." Sakura smiled.

"I think the last one you had was during the start of summer wasn't?" Hiram asked trying to recall.

"Yes that was the last one I had with Rin, and Rebekah." Sakura replied.

"Well ill be glad to have Jordan to hang out with Mikey and me. We can play on the PS 4. Do you wanna join in on us Johnny bro?" Lee asked his older brother.

"Hah sounds like fun. Be prepared for an epic battle of me beating you in all the games." John said with a half hear-ted joke.

Both brothers laughed as Maratha began to pick up the empty plates from around the dinning room table. Sakura began to help her mother by taking the cups and silverware along with her to the sink to rinse off before loading it all in the dishwasher.

Toky had just finished his bowl of food and looked up to Sakura and gave her a little yip. The pup was not so much of a pup anymore he had grown a bit bigger but he was still a small dog regardless. He wagged his little curly tale back and forth. Sakura knelt down to him and gave him a pat on the head.

"Whos a good boy huh Toky!" She said with a soft look in her eyes. "Guess what tomorrow you will get to play with all your friends that will come over. Wont that be fun?" She said to him.

Toky gave a little yip with excitement as he was petted again.

The next day after school. Sakura, Rebekah, and Rin all walked home together to go to Sakura's house for the slumber party. Karin would meet up with them soon along with Lee and Jordan walking her there.

"This is going to be so much fun." Rebekah said putting her arms around both of her friends shoulders as they walked together. The girls all giggled with excitement for the party they were about to have.

"I couldn't agree with you more Bekah-chan its been a long time since we had a slumber party. Let alone at Sakura's place." Rin chimed in.

"Yeah it feels like summer was so long ago. Can you believe we are in November already." Sakura said tucking her hands into her white hooded sweater as they walked on.

Rebekah let go of her friends and reajusted her backpack that hat the things she needed for the sleep over. "I know what you mean. But I still can't believe Rin-chan hear has a boyfriend." Looking over to Rin who began to blush a bit.

"Ooh Rebekah! It's only been a little over a week and Alan is still planning for our second date." Rin said looking down at the ground as they all walked on.

"I-I know but I am just happy for you both that's all. And I wanna hear all the good stuff about your guys date tonight when we are in Sakura's room. Hehehe, I texted Karin about how you both became a couple during the Halloween party she was sooo happy for you both and thought it was very romantic." Rebekah went on.

Rin gave Rebekah a playful nudge to stop talking already then went on to change the subject. "So Sakura any fun plans for all of us girls to have tonight?"

Sakura smiled and turned to Rin for a moment before thinking of what she had already planned out on what they could do. "Well...I was thinking we could watch a movie or maybe play some fun games. Oh yeah before I forget my mom wanted me to tell you guys shes going to order pizza tonight along with soft drinks is that okay with you both?"

"Yum, Pizza sounds great Sakura-chan!" Rebekah declared smacking her lips together.

"That sounds fine. Is she going to ask what toppings we want?" Rin asked Sakrua.

"Ill ask her that once we get home. I am glad she only had work in the morning today. And my dad just took the day off in order to clean the house." Sakura explained.

"What about John?" Rin asked.

"Hm? Oh yeah he will be home kind of late he has to study for a test coming up. And also his part time job is on Fridays. So I guess he wont be home until 8 or 9 tonight." said Sakura.

"I see. Your brother is very busy. But that's good." Rin complemented.

"Hey when he gets home we should ask him how Tamara liked the gift he made for her." Rebekah mentioned with a smile.

"Good idea I haven't had a chance to really ask him yet myself." Sakura pointed out.

The girls finally made it to the Barrix house hold they hung up there jackets on the coat rack and headed up stares to Sakura's room since Lee and the others had not come yet. They put there things on Sakura's bed for the time being and then headed back down to the main floor to wait for Karin to show up.

"Hi girls glad to see your all doing well." Maratha said greeting them as she came out from the kitchen into the living room for a bit to see them.

"Hello Mrs. Barrix, its good to see you too." Rin spoke first.

"Hi Mrs. Barrix it's been a while." Rebekah said next.

"Hi mom will be waiting down here for when Lee and the others arrive." Sakura told her mom.

"Alright you all have fun. I am going to be ordering dinner around 5 tonight so I'd expect it to be here hopefully by 6 if on time. Since it's the start of the weekend." Maratha said with a worried look looking over at the grandfather clock on the wall.

"Hey mom before you order dinner when Karin and Jordan come over with Lee can you make sure to ask what kind of toppings everyone wants first please." Sakrua said in a soft voice looking up at her mom.

"Sure that shouldn't be a problem. Oh I nearly forgot your father asked me if he could have some of yours and the other girls time tonight. He wanted to show you something he's been making in his workshop the past few days." Maratha said.

"Your dad is making something new?" Rebekah asked.

"Cool I always like seeing what kind of things your dad makes since he's a carpenter and all." Rin said with a bright smile.

"This is new news to me too. But your right I look forward to seeing it too. Is dad out back now?" Sakrua asked.

"No he's up in the master bedroom talking a little nap from all the cleaning he did for me since I was at work all morning." Martha said looking up towards the stare way. "So don't bother him right now. He might show you all after dinner would be my guess."

Just then the front door opened and in came Lee, Jordan and Karin taking off there coats and putting them up.

"Hey mom were home." Lee said now coming into the living room followed by the other two.

"Karin!" the three older girls called out to their younger friend as they got up from the sofa and gave her a warm welcoming group hug.

"Why hello everyone it's good to see you all again." Karin mentioned as she hugged them back.

"Hi Mrs. B how have you been?" Jordan asked getting her with a wave.

"Hello Jordan have not seen you since the summer pool party. But I have been alright. How about yourself?" She asked the young boy.

"Ive been okay. Well Lee and I have some gaming to do before dinner right Lee?" Jordan called over his shoulder.

"You bet we do!" Lee said with a fist pump.

"Oh boys before you go running up stares. I want to ask everyone what kind of pizza they would like along with a soda drink?" Maratha asked.

"I'm a meat lover mom. So meat supreme topping for me and Jordan with a Dr. Pepper to drink right bud?" Lee said.

"Yeah that's fine." Jordan said.

"Okay ill be sure to order one of those. Now girls before you go up stares too. What kind of topping do you all want?" She asked them next.

"We all want the Cheese and Pepperoni topping and Diet coke to drink." said Sakura.

"Alright then." Maratha said as she waved to the gang of kids as they all went up stares into each own rooms.

Once Jordan and Lee where in Lee's room Mikey greeted the from his nap he had earlier. The boys pulled out a game for the P.S. 4 it was called Overwatch. And they couldn't have picked a better game to both enjoy for the time being. Mikey got excited when he saw the boys began to play and having a blast. He didn't fully understand what a video game was but he sure did find them fun kind of like a movie when the cut scenes would come into play from different games.

In Sakura's room the girls all began to chat up a storm getting to ketch up with one another but mostly with Karin and how she was with Lee and the both of them dating. Karin filled them in with saying she liked it very much and found Lee sweet both at school and during the times he had been over to her place. But they still had yet to go on a real date alone together. She told her friends if she did well until the end of the year she was allowed to go on a real date alone with him.

"So your saying if you get B's or higher then you can go on a real date with no chaperon right?" Rebekah asked making sure she understood everything.

"Yes that is correct Miss Rebekah." Karin said with a nod.

"But then I have one more question for you." Rebekah started out, "Does that mean you parents like Lee?"

"Oh yes they like Lee very much." Karin said with a smile.

"That's great news to hear." Rebekah said with a look of relieve. She then however turned to face Rin, "So Rin-chan now that we are all here spill the beans to us."

Rin gave Rebekah a stern look before she cleared her throat. "What are you talking about Rebekah?" She demanded now.

"Oh don't play dumb Rin-chan we all want to know how your date went with Alan." She said crossing her arms over her chest.

"Yeah I haven't heard one thing about that yet." Sakura mentioned.

"I'd love to hear how it went too Miss Rin-chan." Karin asked nicely.

All of her friends began to give her the puppy eyed look as they tried to get her to open up about how her date had gone. Rin was silent for a few more seconds before she finally caved into her friends. "Oh alright ill tell you already." She said smacking her hands to her knees while they all sat on the floor.

"Yay!" All the girls cheered.

"But don't expect me to tell you ever single detail got it!" She pointed at each of them.

"Awe your no fun." Rebekah teased as a joke.

Rin then threw a pillow that was meant for her to use during the night at Rebekah who sat across from her. "EEP!" Rebekah cried out as it hit her right in the face.

Both Sakura, Karin and including Rin all began to laugh at Rebekah's reaction to the pillow being thrown at her. She pulled away from her face and frowned a bit but then smiled and giggled herself. "Okay missy you don't have to tell us everything but please tell us something?" She bagged.

Rin thought about what to tell her friends when she paused for a moment. Then she thought of what to say. "Well we met at the park first of all. And he was dressed very nicely for our date. It made me blush..." Rin said now holding her face feeling it grow a bit warm as it turned red.

"Aw how cute shes blushing." Sakura said cheerfully.

"Then what else did you guys do on your date?" Karin asked.

"W-well then we went and had lunch and walked around to different stores for fun in the middle of town. And one of the last things we did was go to the Aquarium and at the end of the date he came home met my mom again. Had dinner with her and I then we said good bye to one another. But I am not telling you anymore then that got it! It's meant for Alan and I to have as a special time together to remember." Rin explained with a dreamy look in her eyes.

"That sounds very romantic indeed for a first date. I mean from what you told us at least." Karin said with a soft gaze in her own eyes.

"Indeed it was a romantic date but at other times it was just very normal but also fun too." Rin said with a nod.

"W-what's it like to have a boyfriend now that your both dating?" Sakura asked.

Both Rin and Karin turned to look at Sakura in a bit of a surprise to hear her ask a question. Rin and Rebekah knew she had a crush on Tadashi but she wasn't the type to just ask about dating out of knowhere. Maybe it was because she had someone she liked and just wanted to know since some of her friends now dated.

"Well for it's having a boyfriend like Lee to date makes me very happy. Because he's so warm and caring and always willing to bring a smile on my face. Weather hes trying to joke around or writing new poems form me to hear. At least that's a few things I can say so far about dating him." she finished with a slight blush on her face.

"Aw that's very sweet to hear." Rebekah said with a soft smile.

"A-and you Rin-chan?" Sakura asked.

"I guess for me now that I have a boyfriend. It some how feels unreal but at the same time I am really happy and overjoyed it happened and that it's Alan too. He's very sweet and gentle and cares about my well being and..." She looked down and begins to blush and pull a strand of her long wavy hair before speaking again, "He likes to spoil me which makes me even more so overjoyed. That's how I feel about it."

"That sounds nice." Sakura said with a sigh and a daydream look putting her hands to her face as she leaned forward sitting ciscross.

"I sure wish Jim and I could be a couple." Rebekah commented looking a little sad but somehow hopeful her dream would come true one day.

"Aw don't worry you two I am sure you can confess your feelings to Jim and Tadashi. When your hearts are ready." Rin said trying to cheer her friends up.

"I think I know a fun game that will all lift our spirits up everyone." Karin mentioned with a little grin.

"Oh and what do you have in mind?" Rebekah asked raising an eyebrow.

Karin got up rushed over to Sakura's bed and grabbed the biggest pillow on there and threw it over at Rebekah! Hitting her in the face. "Pillow fight!" She shouted out in laughter.

"Oh its on now!" Rebekah said as she got up and started to chase Karin around the room. Both Rin and Sakura got up too laughing and began to smack each other with pillows too. The pillow fight lasted for a good few minutes until the girls where all on the floor laughing so hard and could hardly breath.

"Th-that was...fun." Rin said trying to ketch her breath again.

"It was...Hahah." Karin agreed.

"A good workout...I-If you...ask me whoo!" Rebekah said with red cheeks.

"But it was...well worth it." Sakura smiled.

Just then a knock came from the door and it opened a bit to revile Sakura's father Hiram Barrix. "Hi girls I heard a lot of laughter just now. My Sakura? Your room is all messy with these pillows on the ground be sure you pick them up." He spoke in his deep voice.

"Hi dad." Sakura said now sitting up straight. "Don't worry I'll fix my room up before dinner."

"Sounds good." He said waving to everyone before closing the door.

"I-I hope we didn't wake him up." Rebekah said looking worried.

"W-we might have..." Sakura said looking apologetic to her friends. "I'll be sure to tell him we were sorry for making to much noise. Now who's going to help me pick up these pillows?" She asked.

Rebekah turned to look at Karin and Rin who sat on either side of her she then whispered to Karin. Then they both said together "Not it!"

Rin turned to them and frowned. "Awe man you guys are so sneaky..." She half smiled herself though.

Sakura just began to giggle at this as Rin began to pick up a pillow. "Don't worry Rin-chan I got your back." Sakura said picking up another pillow.

Rin looked over her shoulder and gave a nod. "Thanks Sakura-chan."

It was now time for dinner the girls could not wait to have pizza as they all had to be careful eating in Sakura's bedroom. Her mother olnly allowed it if there where a lot of guest over for a sleep over. And since that was the case it could not be helped. As for Lee and Jordan they stayed down stares with Lee's folks.

"Thanks for the pizza Mrs. Barrix." Jordan said as he sat down.

"You're welcome Jordan. I hope your enjoying yourself so far." She said. As they all ate.

"Yep sure am. Lee and I are just waiting up on John so we can play 'The Elder Scrolls' next." Jordan said with excitement.

"Oh that's a good game." Hiram said, "Lee and John showed me when they first got it very interesting."

"Yeah we want to wait for John. We figured he could take an hour or two brake from his studies right?" Lee asked looking at both his parents.

"I think he should relax before he has finale exams in the next few weeks." Hiram replied.

"Hm depends on what John wants to do in the end. But I think he wouldn't mind hanging out with his brother and his brother's friend for a bit." Maratha said with a sweet smile.

It was now after 8:00 pm and the girls had just got done playing a game of UNO. With Rebekah winning the first round then Sakura winning the second round. That was when Hiram came to the door and asked the girls to come down stares to the shop. He wanted to show them something he was working on. They all gathered inside the shop and he had something covered over his work table. It was something that wasn't very big. But Sakura looked with wonder in her eyes as she stood there with her friends.

"Well I was hoping I could all get your two sense on what I am almost done with." He explained. He then took off the cloth covering the item he was working on. It was brilliantly carved and handcrafted box. With a delicate design on it that had roses carved into it along with its leaves and other fine lines. All that was left was to paint the roses and fine lines that needed filling in. "So what do you girls think? It's for Sakura's mother, her Christmas gift but keep it as a secret please." He said in a soft voice.

"Oh dad it's very beautiful and I know for a fact mom will love it." Sakura said with a smile as she came up to her dad and gave him a hug. "You really did a wonderful job on this new gift."

"It's a lovely box indeed Mr. Barrix might I ask. Is it to hold jewelry once it's finished?" Karin asked looking at the box in awe.

"Yes you are correct Karin." Hiram nodded.

"It's absolutely gorgeous Mr. Barrix." Rebekah said placing her hand over her heart.

"Yeah its really well detailed and elegant looking I think she will treasure it." Rin complemented.

"Thank you girls I am glad I got a positive feedback from all of you." Hiram said covering the wooded box up again. "We should all head back inside where its warm I am sure you girls will want to get back to hanging out right." He mentioned to them as the all headed to the back door of the house that led to the kitchen. Where Toky was waiting patiently for Sakura's return.

Sakura picked up her little dog and held him close to her. "Say dad do you want to play a game of UNO with us here in the dinning room?" Sakura asked looking hopeful.

"Yeah that sounds like a good idea." Rebekah chimed in.

"Oh are you sure you want me to?" He asked looking unsure.

"Please wont you Mr. Barrix the more the merrier they say." Karin said.

"We don't mind at all." Rin said "I'll go get the game for us so just wait." She then ran to the stare case and up she went. When Rin reached the top she felt a little out of breath. Maybe she shouldn't have ran all the way up? But she just had to ketch her breath was all then she would be fine. She went into Sakura's room and got the card came. When she closed the door behind her she felt a wave of vertigo for a few moments as she leaned against the wall. "Maybe I should slow down." She said to herself softly. She was careful coming back down the stares lucky for her the wave of dizzyness had passed. But she was now not so sure what was going to happen next.

As everyone began to play the game Rin felt a bit better from just sitting down. So maybe she was just over thinking and it was nothing to worry about. But half way through the game she began to feel hot in the face not only that her throat felt a little dry. She then excused herself to get some water to drink. Karin was feeling thirsty too so she got up as well.

As the two of them got there drinks Karin noticed Rin looked a little red in the face. "Miss Rin-chan are you feeling alright?" She asked her friend.

"Huh? O-oh I am alright just really thirsty is all." Rin said take a few big golps of her water.

"Okay just don't push yourself to hard if you feel tired." Karin mentioned to her.

"Good idea what time is it now that I think about it?" Rin asked her.

Just then the clock in the living room struck 9:00 PM sharp.

And John then just walked through the front door at the same time calling out to everyone, "I am home. Sorry for being so late."
