Shivered Bones

Waking in the dead of night

Snow falling cold with fright

Walking on forever it seems

Shivered bones are all she sees

Waiting for spring to come

Her shivered bones will be undone

The cold becomes unbearable, harsh, and rash

She wishes for herself to just turn to ash

Lingering in the distance a glimmer, a glow

A fire has been lit to melt away the snow

She reaches out her hands to feel the warmth

Her shivered bones no longer feel numb

Warmth from the fire fills her with life

She then cries in the dead of the night

Morning comes in her weaken state

She smiles and knows that this is her final fate
